About Zolid 30mg
Zolid 30mg Tablet is commonly used to treat high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetic patients. It contains Pioglitazone as an active ingredient and belongs to the oral anti-diabetics thiazolidinedione class of drugs. It is not recommended for Type 1 diabetic patients.
How effective is Zolid 30mg?
Zolid 30mg Tablet helps control, prevent, and treat the symptoms of high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetic patients. It can be prescribed with metformin and sulfonylureas. Zolid 30mg Tablets can be used in monotherapy, dual therapy, and triple therapy. It can also be used with insulin. Diet and lifestyle modification are recommended with this medicine. It works by making your body cells more sensitive to insulin.
What dose should I choose?
An adult (18 and above) can take 15-30mg of Zolid, once a day. Maximum dose of 45mg can be taken in a day.
For a child (17 or younger), Zolid 30mg Tablet is not recommended.
The specific dosage, timing, and quantity are prescribed by the doctor, depending on the patient’s condition, symptoms, reactions, and age. Do not take in different amounts than advised/prescribed by your doctor. Be careful if self-medicating. Make sure that the course of treatment is fully completed.
