About Tenormin 25mg
Tenormin 25mg tablet is an antihypertensive drug. It is used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) and a type of chest pain called angina. Each tablet of Tenormin 25mg contains the active ingredient Atenolol, which is known as a beta-blocker.
How effective is Tenormin 25mg?
Tenormin 25mg tablet is used to lower high blood pressure, which also reduces the risk of stroke, heart attack or kidney problems. Its use is also indicated in the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmia), migraine and heart attack. Tenormin 25mg works by binding with certain receptors in the smooth and cardiac muscles, causing the heart to beat less rapidly and with less force. This causes a decrease in the blood pressure. It also causes the widening of blood vessels to improve blood flow.
