About Sita 50mg
Sita 50mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It is used in the management of diabetes mellitus and helps reduce high blood sugar levels in the body. Each tablet of Sita 50mg contains the active ingredient Sitagliptin, which is known as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor.
How effective is Sita 50mg?
Sita 50mg Tablet is highly effective if taken along with a proper diet and an exercise plan. Sita 50mg works by increasing the production of insulin by the pancreas and also decreases the amount of glucagon, a natural hormone which causes the formation of glucose by the liver. Thus, by controlling blood sugar levels, Sita 50mg helps lower the risk of diabetes-related health issues such as blindness, kidney damage, heart attack and stroke.
What dose should I choose?
In adults, the usual recommended dose is 2 tablets (100 mg) taken orally once per day. The dose can be taken with or without a meal.
It is not recommended in children.
If you skip a dose by any chance, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the already missed dose if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dose.
What are the side-effects and other warnings when taking Sita 50mg?
Some common and uncommon side-effects include:
