Proxen 500mg Tablet is a pain-relief medication. It is used to relieve pain and fever and reduce inflammation that occurs due to rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Each tablet of Proxen 500mg contains the active ingredient Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent.
How effective is Proxen 500mg?
Proxen 500mg Tablet is an effective and generally safe painkiller and anti-inflammatory drug used to reduce inflammation and relieve aches and pains such as back pain, sprain, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout and period pain. It works by inhibiting the formation of certain chemical substances in the body responsible for pain and inflammation.
What dose should I choose?
In adults, the usual dose is 1 tablet (500 mg) taken orally once per day.
For the treatment of juvenile arthritis in children (over the age of 5 years), the usual dose is 10 mg/kg of body weight taken orally in 2 divided doses at an interval of 12 hours.
If you skip a dose by any chance, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the already missed dose if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dose.
