About Nims
Nims is a pain-relieving medication used to treat fever, pain and inflammation associated with arthritis, period, sports injuries, nose/throat infections and postoperative trauma. It has an active ingredient named as Nimesulide.
How effective is Nims?
Nims tablet is very effective in treating acute pain, fever, inflammation and pain associated with osteoarthritis and other inflammatory conditions. Nims is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) which works by blocking the activity of substances which produce pain signals in the body.
What dose should I choose?
For adults, the usual dose of Nims is 1 tablet (100mg) twice a day. In children (12-18 years old), the dose is 5mg/kg in 2-3 divided doses. This drug is not to be given to children below the age of 12. Nims should be taken after a meal.
If you somehow skip a dose, take it as soon as you remember and if it’s approximately time for the next dose, skip the missed one.
What are the side effects and other warnings when taking Nims?
Nims is generally a safe medicine and does not cause any side-effects in most individuals. If you have a history of stomach problems, high blood pressure, kidney disease or fluid retention, caution must be taken.

If you are pregnant, might become pregnant, or think you may be pregnant or breast-feeding or planning to breast-feed, notify your doctor or a pharmacist before using this tablet. Alcohol consumption is not safe while taking Nims, and this drug should be avoided if you suffer from or have a medical history of liver disease.
