Lasix contains Furosemide and belongs to the antidiuretic class of drugs.
How effective is the Lasix 20mg?
Lasix 20mg Tablet is an antidiuretic that works by removing water and electrolytes from the body, thus decreasing the extra fluid from the body. It is used to treat Edema caused by conditions like Liver, Kidney, and Heart Disease. It improves shortness of breath and swelling from the body.
It helps in lowering blood pressure and is beneficial for conditions like strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.
What dose should I choose?
The recommended dose for adults ranges from 20-80mg in a single dose.
Children’s dose is calculated according to 2mg/kg of the body weight.
An individualised dose is recommended with a maximum response at a minimum dose. Overdose can be dangerous and life-threatening, causing hypotension, reduced body fluids, and electrolyte imbalance.
It must not be taken a few hours before sleep.
What are the side-effects and other warnings when taking Lasix 20mg?
Some common side-effects of Freehale 10mg Tablet include:

- Severe dehydration
- Restlessness
- Increased thirst
Lasix 20mg Tablet must be taken with caution if you feel any Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient.
