Lamisil 250mg Tablet is an antifungal drug. It helps in the treatment of fungal infections affecting the skin and nails, such as athlete’s foot and jock itch. Each Tablet of Lamisil 250mg contains the active ingredient Terbinafine, which belongs to the allylamine class of antifungals.
How effective is Lamisil 250mg?
Lamisil 250mg Tablet is a very useful and generally well-tolerated antifungal. It helps in the treatment of fungal infections of nails and skin, including tinea pedis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, sporotrichosis, and onychomycosis. Lamisil 250mg works by preventing the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component for the synthesis of the fungal cell wall. This action inhibits the growth of fungi and eventually kills it.
What dose should I choose?
In adults, the recommended dose is 1 Tablet (250 mg) taken orally once a day. You can take the dosage with or without food for 2-6 weeks.
Its use is not recommended in children.
If you skip a dose by any chance, take it once you remember. You may skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dosage.
