About Froben 100mg
Froben 100mg Tablet is a pain-relief medication (analgesic). It helps relieve inflammation, pain and tenderness in different parts of the body, such as the joints in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Each tablet of Froben 100mg contains the active ingredient Flurbiprofen, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
How effective is Froben 100mg?
Froben 100mg Tablet is an effective painkiller. Its use is indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid disease, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, musculoskeletal disorders, periarthritis, frozen shoulder, bursitis, tendinitis, lower backache, tenosynovitis, sprains and strains. Due to its analgesic properties, Froben 100mg may also be used for the relief of mild to moderate aches in conditions such as dental pain, post-operative pain, dysmenorrhoea and migraine. Froben 100mg works by blocking the production of certain chemical substances responsible for pain and inflammation in the body.
What dose should I choose?
In adults, the usual recommended dose is 1-2 tablets taken orally in 2, 3 or 4 divided doses. The dose should be taken during or after a meal.
Froben 100mg is not recommended for use in children under the age of 12 years.
If you skip a dose by any chance, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the already missed dose if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dose.
What are the side-effects and other warnings when taking Froben 100mg?
The possible side-effects when taking Froben 100mg may include:
- Severe headache
- High temperature
- Stiffness of the neck
- Intolerance to bright light
- Bloody faeces
- Black stools
- Vomiting
- Swelling of the face, lips or tongue
- Wheezing
- Shortness of breath
- Skin rash
