Cefim 400mg Capsule is an antibiotic medicine and is used for the treatment of bacterial infections such as bronchitis and gonorrhoea. Cefim 400mg is also used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the ears, throat and urinary tract. Each capsule of Cefim 400mg contains the active ingredient Cefixime.
How effective is Cefim 400mg?
Cefim 400mg Capsule is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as chronic bronchitis, gonorrhoea, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and urinary tract infections. It is also sometimes used to treat sinus infections in penicillin-allergic patients, pneumonia, shigella, salmonella, and typhoid fever. Cefim 400mg works by directly attacking the bacterial cell wall, which injures the cell. The bacteria can no longer survive without their cell wall, which prevents these bacterias from doing any further damage within the body.
What dose should I choose?
A typical dosage of Cefim 400mg for an adult is 1 capsule taken orally with food in a 24 hour time period or as directed by your doctor.
If you skip a dose by any chance, take it as soon as you remember. Skip the already missed dose if it’s almost time for the next one. Do not double the dose.
